Examples of Corruption

Argentina's VP - Cristina Fernández de Kirchner Argentina has seen corruption, at the very highest levels of government. In December of 2022 the president of Argentina was found guilty of embezzling one billion dollars and was later sentenced to six years.  Colombia - Pablo Escobar Escobar was a drug lord from Colombia. He was the king of cocaine and other illegal drugs, collecting a ridiculous amount of money in the process. Who used his wealth and power to bribe Colombian government officials and politicians. Escobar paid off judges and law enforcement officials which allowed him to operate without the worry of consequences. Although Escobar committed some unimaginable acts of violence such as bombings and assassinations, the corruption which he invoked on Colombia as a nation damaged the foundation of the Colombian Government

What is Corruption (basics)

 Corruption is the abuse of power or authority for personal benefit is known as corruption. It is an old concept that is still common in many regions of the world today. It is an old concept that is still common in many regions of the world today, and it can be found in areas such as politics, business, law enforcement, and education. The consequences can be terrible, preventing economic development or even violating basic human rights. Political and governmental systems are usually susceptible to corruption, and when corruption is widespread, the population stops believing in their leaders. The rule of law can become worse as a result of corruption, making it more difficult to enforce laws and regulations. The overall result is a society where the wealthy and strong can behave without consequence while the helpless and weak are left defenseless.
